📄Fun Facts about my Osu!-career
______________________________________________1. I joined Osu! on the 9th of April in 2017 at 21:41 UTC+2 time. I created this acount because my friends, which i hang out with in Teamspeak back then, wanted to try it out. After playing Osu! for around 20 minutes, i uninstalled it because i didn't know how sliders work and always sliderbroke. I got back into Osu! when i rediscovered a streamer called Noshida on twitch. He was streaming on Hitbox, but after that site was closed, i lost contact with him. When i found him on twitch, i discovered that he was playing Osu!. That was the moment where i wanted to play Osu! again. So in the end of 2017, i was grinding hard and also started streaming.
2. I was playing mouse only in the beginning. When someone told me to use my keyboard to click circles, i didn't want to and thought it's useless. I quickly found out that i was very wrong about that and started to use my keyboard.
3. I used to think that the mod "Hardrock" gives you more circles on the map and thats why you get more points.
4. I used to think that Osu! would automatically create a map when you drag a song into the editor. So i dragged XXXTENTACION - Gnarly Bastard into the editor and couldn't figure out why Osu! isn't creating a map for me. When i found out, that you have to map the whole thing yourself, i was shocked.
5. My first map i ever created was this conversation
from spongebob squarepants. I mapped it without even knowing how to map. I mapped it as a joke for the Streamer Noshida and sent it to him when he was streaming. I deleted the map after he played it.
6. I got my first mechanical keyboard (Speedlink Ultor with red switches) for christmas in 2018 (not really sure about it. Might be aswell around August in 2019). I only wanted it to play better in Osu!. When i got it, i instantly improved at streaming and was able to easily stream 195BPM on some random unranked map of "Babymetal - Distortion". Before i got my mechanical keyboard, i used a Logitech G15 for everything. I sold it some time later for around 10€ on ebay after i got my mechanical keyboard.
7. I bought my first tablet (XP-PEN G430S) when someone called "kleineskira" donated me the money for it when i was streaming. I used it for over 5 years. In May 2023 i bought my second tablet (Wacom CTL-472) for 10€ on ebay. One month later i bought the Wacom CTL 480 for 3€ on ebay. And then i bought the CTH 480 for around 7€. I might have a hoardingproblem.
8. I used to play with a mousepad over my tablet for years. I figured that using a tablet like a normal person isn't really my thing because it's very slippery. So i put a mousepad over my tablet, removed the pen-nip from my pen and aimed with the pen on my mousepad. I think i got inspired by old Rafis clips were i have seen him using a mousepad over his tablet. I had much more control over my aim because it's not nearly as slippery as the surface of the tablet. I really destroyed my mousepad with doing this for 2-3 years. When i got my Wacom CTL-472, i decided to play like a normal person again and actually aim on the surface of the tablet. It felt extremely bad because it's so slippery compared to my mousepad. I had literally no control over my aim and had to get used to it for weeks to do scores i used to do.
EDIT: Nvm i changed back to my XP-Pen G430S with a mousepad over it. Just works a lot better for me.
9. I wanted to reach level 101 by playing Peter Lambert - osu! tutorial. When i got close to reaching it, i wanted to play one or two more maps before Peter Lambert - osu! tutorial. I didn't realize that you also get totalscore on your profile when you fail a map. When i realized, i already overshot it by 196.391 points. In the end i reached level 101 after 117.217 total plays, 1884 hours and by failing twice on :) feat. KAFU - Ren'ai Heiki! Lethal Weapon-chan.
