So the whole theme of the lyrics of the Plagiarism album is the story of a person who was never able to write his own music well, but made it famous by stealing others' songs. He ends up being fed up about this, and starts to hate himself for it, leading to a whole mess of situations in his life, including his wife leaving him. (I won't go into the deep details of this, but the songwriter for the album also includes a FULL STORY to link together the songs and it is beautiful and brought a tear to my eye).

So that in and of itself is already amazing, but there are also so many hints of this story in other apsects aside from just the lyrics. For one, this album is wholly themed around plagiarism and hatred, and so the names of all of the songs are some (generally-considered) nasty negative words; ex. Plagiarism, Prostitution, Burglar. In addition, the themes of the songs are often borrowed from songs in previous albums, directly indicating the plagiarism.

But the thing that I just noticed is, every Yorushika album contains 2-4 fully instrumental songs, which are the songwriter just exploring different genres, or making a short theme from a nice short melody. However, in only this album, the instrumentals are all essentially DIRECT RIP OFFS of famous classical pieces! Ex. Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, Erik Satie's Gymnopedie, etc., and that level of attention to detail just absolutely blew my mind.
