I like to farm leaderboards because the pp grind hurts my soul. Sometimes I map. Usually I give up. Occasionally I don't.

The Coolest People
- (will format this later to look pretty, add more people, and give more details)
- AbyssalNanachi: Has been a real pal over the years. He may not fiend for osu, but his appreciation for Orange is second to none.
- MokkingJay: My hype man. He's a pro at everything, but more important than his skill with low AR HD is his extreme appreciation for Chad. In Chad, we Trust.
- Fructose: A connoisseur of anime with (mostly) superb taste. Has recently (2024-02-14) picked up osu again and is quickly gaining rank again. He's also the most based SAR player and has incredible submarine skills.
- BigEplayer: A fellow mouse-only gamer that likes dolls as much as I do. He's gotten good really fast, and while he could get better even faster, that would mean putting Frieren and other anime on hold. And we can't have that.
- jamiemew, SoulEvans347, TheSnipingPanda: My OG osu buddies. If it weren't for them, I would have never given this game a shot.
- mastaa_p: FL champion. I don't know how he does it, but he can play maps that are 5*+ with FL. Absolute chad.
- DolanDaDuck: One of my first friends that I made on osu. Although he doesn't play osu that often anymore, I'm glad I was able to play this game with him on his ultra popular twitch channel (;
- Laorwick: Addicted to mapping, but also great at the game. He's a fan of nekomata master songs, I think. If I ever get around to making tournaments, I'm going to be asking him to make a tourney original map.
- des: The speed king. I thought I knew speed, but no, this guy knows it better than anyone. I hope I can catch up to him, one day.
- YoPizzaWolf: One of my earlier osu buddies. Such a chill, nice guy to be around. He's not some super osu god gamer or anything, but one thing he's phenomenal at is 4mod. Throw a low star map with HD DT HR FL at him and he'll turn it into a leaderboard score.
- Skdo: Maybe the funniest osu streamer that ever existed. His favorite map is Uta, and his rage is unmatched. The day he returns to streaming this game is going to be glorious.
- Ekital: Such an awesome guy. Always had cool maps to share and is a blast to play multiplayer with. It's even better to play with him and Skdo together: the trash talk is unreal.
- Quantum Field: A really smart and kind guy. He really knows how to bring people together.
- xavierzim: Fun, smart, and cool person to play osu with. Knows his way around a submarine. He's decently skilled with EZ and is often tricky for me to snipe scores on.
- Shuwvi: She's super chill and very funny. I used to think I was good at osu, and then she became so much better than me in the span of maybe a year. She taught me to belib... except when it comes to finishing Shadows House S2. No shot we'll finish watching that >:[
- TexasRed03: The only cool discord server admin. Also, he's one of the only people I've met that can actually playing AR 10+. HR fiend, but also an upcoming EZ champion? I don't know what he's smoking but he's too good with a lot of mods.
- Minislurpee: Hilarious guy, I love playing multiplayer with him, and not just for osu. This man's submarine experience is beyond words. Would trust to be my ship's security any day.
- rezistzoupic: Incredibly balanced in all skillsets. She can pull off just about any map in a mappool, save for maybe EZ, but I bet it won't be long before she's got that too.
- Ahmarion: Met him when he was 300-500k. Now he's edging closer and closer to 5 digit. Always fun to play the game with, and I hope to tourney with him before he breaks the 5 digit barrier.
Hardware
Previous Setups:
- Mouse: LAMZU THORN: (2023-09-09) Ergo mouse with optical switches. DPI button is on the bottom. Primary mouse buttons are mostly neutral with slight curvature at the edges (not concaved nor arched). Clicks are slightly quieter and deeper in pitch compared to Model D Pro. Shape is more 'full' (taller and less flat) compared to the Model D Pro. This is most noticable on the right-rear area of the THORN where it protrudes more than the Model D Pro. Overall, I like it a lot! I'm going to try it out for a while.
(2023-12-23) I tried going back to my Glorious Model D 2 Pro, but the shape is not nearly as appealing. It used to be preferable, but I've become accustomed to the THORN's shape. I feel like I have more control over it, that my hand has more grip over it, whereas the Model D shape is more like my hand is just sort of sitting on top of it. I will, however, add glass feet to it as soon as they arrive. I added ceramic feet to the D2Pro and it feels so much nicer. Additionally, the PTFE feet already installed on the THORN are malformed.
(2024-06-13) Took my THORN with me to Japan. Dropped the dpi to 2400 to compensate for my lower res screen (1080p). I'm starting to think posture affects my mouse preference (this desk and chair aren't great). I removed the glass feet, they were wearing out quickly and also had a tendency to fall off entirely. I replaced them with the included spare PTFE feet. Feels better since there's no more scraping. Still using the ACT-LABS Speed by Surface pad.- DPI: 3200
- Report Rate: 1000Hz
- Mode Select: HP
- LOD (Lift-off Distance): 1mm
- Ripple control: Off
- Introduces smoothing and some latency to reduce jitter. Intended for higher DPI.
- Angle snapping: Off
- Motion sync: On
- The sensor retrieves and sends data as soon as the mouse is polled, rather than retrieving at random and sending whatever is stored when polled.
- Windows Pointer Speed: 6/11
- Enhanced Pointer Precision (mouse acceleration): Off
- osu! Sensitivity: 1x
- osu! Raw Input: On
- Mousepad: ACT-LABS Speed by Surface
- Keyboard: Steelseries Apex Pro
- Tablet: Wacom Intuos Medium (CTH-680)
- CPU: AMD Ryzen R5 3600
- GPU: AMD RX 6700 XT
- Monitor: Pana 34 (165hz, 1440p, 34" 21:9 Ultrawide)
- Headphones: beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO 250 ohm
- DAC/Amp: Behringer UMC204HD
Zephyr (with Fan)
Somewhat light, feels okay in the hand. Clicks are very light. Side buttons are obtrusive. Fan causes too much vibration, even on lowest speed. Thumb can't get comfortable due to holes. Overall, disappointing. BUT, it did resolve my sweaty palm. Mostly.
Steelseries Aerox 3 Wireless
Just got it (2020/11/21), so I'm still playing with it, but first impressions: a little too flat, a little too small, cursor movement feels okay. Scroll wheel is very stiff. If I was a KB+Mouse player, I think I'd like it more, but the flatness makes my hand really scrunch up. Might just require a different posture, or some getting used to.
EVGA TORQ X10
I don't really remember this one too well. I think I remember it feeling weird near the base of my palm and had scroll wheel issues.
Logitech G502
Heavy. Feels good, but heavy. Good for low sensitivity players.
Glorious Model O-
Very light, but too small for comfort.
Glorious Model O
Light, feels okay in the hand. Too flat for my taste. Model D fixes that.
Glorious Model D (w/ G-Floats Ceramic Feet)
Light, feels good in the hand, comfortable. Has a good ergo tilt. Nowhere to rest the thumb or pinkie, so I use a craw grip with the thumb, palm grip with index/middle, and let the pinkie drag. There was an issue with the right click where it would depress, stop, and then allow me to press to click. I resolved it by wiping away some sort of residue between the button and the housing. Required disassembly and removal of old mouse feet.
The G-Floats, paired with a hard surface, are very smooth. The ceramic feet have trouble on cloth surfaces, especially if it's dirty. Overall, awesome mouse. Stopped using it only because I adjusted to a palm grip and it felt too large.

Model D- Wireless
Noticeably smaller than the Model D. Weight is about the same as a wired Model D. My middle finger reaches the end of the right button, but it's not terribly noticable. I have a hard time resting my thumb and usually end up clicking the side buttons. Overall, the mouse is awesome. I'm currently playing on an ACT-LABS Speed by Surface (hard aluminum pad). I might switch out the mouse feet for G-Floats Ceramic Feet, but I haven't decided yet. G-Skates are fine right now.
Glorious Model O Pro
(2023-03-24) I haven't used the original Model O for a while, but this is probably more comfortable (no holes). My hand still hurts a little after playing, probably because it's got the same (read: flat) shape as the original. I'm probably going to keep playing with it, since it's a lot of fun, but I eagerly anticipate the Model D Pro. A huge complaint I have with it is the scrollwheel click is 'very' subtle. I like a bit more feedback when clicking it.
Logitech G Pro X Superlight
Lightweight, doesn't handle weight on the rear very well (tilts upward, seems like a feet issue). Rear-right edge is harsh against the hand. Texture is a bit on the smooth side, not bad just not my preference. Side buttons are mushy. No middle button... tragedy.
Pulsar X2
(2023-06-29) Only played a few maps with it. Feels alright, for a ambidextrous mouse. I prefer it over the GPX. Still no middle button.
Razer Deathadder Pro V3
(2023-06-29) Solid ergo mouse. Lightweight. Lacks a middle button and I habitually reach my finger up to click it for pause/play. The shape and feel is like a taller Model D. I still prefer the Model D, but I haven't had any double click issues with the DAV3 (probably because the switches are optical). I plan on returning to the Model D Pro and, if it gets more double click issues, I'll probably open it up and replace the switches or make other adjustments. Unrelated, I haven't used ceramic mouse feet since the original Model D (so about 4-6 months at this point). While there is some appeal to it, I've also experienced "stickiness" with them, so I'm holding off on going ceramic for now.
Glorious Model D Pro
(2023-04-28) I've been using the Model D Pro for about two weeks now. It's easily my favorite for all of the same reasons as the original Model D. Battery life is solid. I haven't changed the G-Skates (PTFE) to G-Floats (ceramic) yet, and I'm not sure if I'm going to. I can still feel the friction that comes with PTFE, but ceramic had its own issues (it was more prone to 'sticking'). My only gripes with my mouse is that the right click overhangs the housing where my ring finger rests. It's the kind of thing where you don't notice it until you do, and then you never forget that it's there. There's also a slight issue with the palm housing being a bit higher than the right click, but that one's even more subtle.
(2023-05-06) I just noticed that with careful manipulation of the left mouse button, unwanted additional clicks can register when "unclicking". Right before the button physically unclicks, if you apply just the lightest amount of pressure, you can cause the mouse to believe it is briefly unclicked, and then it will immediately actuate an unwanted click. I don't think this is tied to debounce, and I do think it's mostly a non-issue. (I ended up RMA'ing after it got really bad)
(2023-06-18) I got a replacement a month ago. It developed the same issue. I'm sending it in for another replacement. If this one develops issues, I'm probably going to replace the switches.
(2023-07-03) Replacement arrived 3 days ago. I have tried to make it double click, and it hasn't. Chances are it just hasn't broken in yet. I maintain that if the issues persist, I'm going to replace the switches, though I may ask support to just tell me if this is a known issue. (2023-09-09) Still not broken.

Glorious Model D 2 Pro
(2023-12-23) I've had this mouse for a while, but I haven't really been using it. I'm much more invested in using my LAMZU THORN. I'll have to pick it up and try again, at some point, but right now I'm just absolutely loving the THORN.
Previous Setups:
- 4600 dpi @ 1440p (Feb. 2018) - Actual dpi hovered between 4000 and 6400. I settled on 4600 for a while.
- 2000 dpi @ 1080p (Jul. 2021) - I dropped it down after learning that the mouse sensor introduces smoothing beyond 2000 dpi.
- 2000 dpi @ 1440p (Oct. 2022) - I increased my resolution for alt+tab convenience (Windows had to constantly adjust resolution whenever I tabbed in/out with 1080p). I also wanted to go back to native resolution without introducing smoothing again.
- 2600 dpi @ 1440p (Dec. 2022) - I increased the dpi back up to 2600 (equivalent of 2000 dpi @ 1080p). I decided that the frame smoothing doesn't matter to me if I'm not comfortable. Still working on comfort.
- 3000 dpi @ 1440p (Apr. 2023) - Jumps are becoming easier again. I don't care about frame smoothing at all anymore. I *think* I can feel the smoothing, but it's so imperceivable that it might as well not be there. I think higher polling rate on mice and higher refresh rate on monitors would help significantly more than lower smoothing.
- 3200 dpi @ 1440p (Nov. 2023) - Just trying to get my dpi back up a bit. (2024-02-14) I haven't changed it and likely will not. A few of my mice are unable to adjust DPI settings and have 3200 as one of the default steps. I would rather avoid adjusting osu's settings, as I like to swap mice frequently. (2024-10-19) I went to Japan for 6 months and changed it to 2400 dpi (adjusted for 1080p). I just realized I have been playing on 2400 dpi @ 1440p for the past couple of weeks. Got a good play at 2800, but going to try adjusting to 3200 again.
