This was my first #1 ever and it was so shocking..!! I seriously did not expect it and before this, I thought getting #1 was impossible. Also the backstory for this is that I wanted to give a friend supporter but I was broke + had no way to pay for stuff anyways (no paypal/bank acc), so I asked Ephemeral if he could gift my tag to someone else if I win. I tried putting a lot of effort just to ensure I get in and ended up getting #1 unexpectedly

I didn't think this one would win #2. This was my most rushed entry ever and I think the placement of the character is quite awkward with the osu! cookie on top... I like this drawing more without the cookie, and I like how the background turned out especially considering I only worked on this for 6h. I tend to avoid drawing any "real backgrounds" in my entries and usually they're more just like a filler, so this was a different direction I took. Hopefully with more people playing on lazer, more also get to see the drawing in its full glory ^.^

A helpful guide to osu! fanart contests

READ THE RULES
The mascots wiki has a list of osu mascots you can feature in your drawing
~~Please make sure the art is exported in the correct resolution, otherwise your art will not make it to the voting!!~~ thankfully there's now a system that prevents you from submitting an entry with incorrect resolution. Please still make sure you're drawing in the correct resolution though!
They're being more strict with what they consider "inappropriate" nowadays, so please avoid showing too much "sus" areas such as cleavage, area near the crotch, etc. Otherwise they might remove your entry later on with no warning :/
DO NOT LEAVE THE DOTTED OSU COOKIE TEMPLATE VISIBLE IN YOUR SUBMISSION! In fact, I'd recommend not using that template because the cookie appears slightly bigger than how it would be on the voting page. Download this template instead to get the accurate one!
Everything behind the circle in the template will not be visible during voting or in the in-game main menu, so make sure you don't draw the main focus of the drawing there!
To submit your art, you simply click upload and something like this will appear

Once this shows it means your art is submitted. You don't need to click any more buttons to send it
Do not post timestamps in the comments section of the voting session announcement. You need to go to the voting page listed in the article in order to vote
