My VSRG advice.
Experiment things as much as you can, do not be scared of failing, getting any accuracy whether lower or higher, learn more about yourself, remind you that the mindset is also very important, never give up, do not be scared of suffering, it's okay, to hurt yourself in order to become stronger, keep pushing, it will pay off, and keep going.
Taking breaks is okay.
Make yourself goals, it will allow you to push yourself in order to become stronger.
Do not hesitate of making yourself documents, such as your goals, your abilities or whatever else // In game, you can create your own collections of maps, in order to not be lost in game.
Progressing in game is the same as progressing in real life, life is an experience, gaming is the same.
Do not listen all opinions about yourself and tips from people, you have your own journey, your life is yours, not theirs.
Be curious, you can try to analyze everything, such as your plays, your way of playing ; try to especially understand what is the "offset" used for because there is the audio offset and especially the visual offset in game
For players who play osu!mania as a VSRG, they adjust their way of hitting late or early especially by adjusting their "hitposition" in their skin.ini file because there is not the visual offset option to be adjusted but the audio offset
But on Etterna there is the visual offset for example, so if you feel like you have some weird input delay while playing, you can always fix it
Really, just try everything, tell yourself that if you play more, especially in the good way, you will improve anything, such as your stamina, your speed, or whatever
And this is not because you got a certain accuracy which may be considered bad for you in a score that it would mean that you are becoming worse in the game
Try to know yourself in this game
What i especially tell myself, is that if you play more, you build more potential for you, because you especially build muscle memory the more you play
Try to just play, it is not because you fail in a map that it's bad for you to just play it entirely, you can always try to play with a "No Fail" mode, by just playing, you are able to build some muscle memory for you, or even to improve yourself, just analyze everything
And also, remember to especially believe in yourself !
And by talking about "hurting yourself" i mean by pushing yourself and feeling that your muscles are building ^^, a training session could be considered as "sport"
In sport it's okay to feel a bit of pain okay, but don't push yourself too far, but it is by pushing yourself that you will become stronger or even better, try to train yourself in the good way ^^
And by sleeping and especially taking care of yourself, you will build more potential in you, and if you keep playing, recover every time you sleep, you will improve ^^
