About Me/Personal Discussion
Status : wahsed
hey there, I'm Unibrick! These paragraphs will be a whole chunk of how I found myself playing the game and so on. I had the opportunity to be exposed to osu! when a close friend introduced the game to me (Astray Unicorn) around late 2019, and after scrolling some videos of osu!, primarily drawn towards Rafis and BTMC's content creation, I felt a growing interest of trying the game out. Having bought a cheap tablet and keyboard, I felt the growing need to grind out the game (mostly having too much free time), and currently it has been working out for the meanwhile. Surely some bumps along the road will happen, however it is all about keeping a good mindset and improving. (and I hope it is the same for you!)
- Rambling about rhythm games and their designs/playabilty
Starting the grind of rhythm games following osu!, I have started with Phigros, Arcaea and maimai, which I do very much recommend when starting out with the interest of rhythm gaming. Each game has their own cool mechanic movement and design in representing rhythm, making it more exciting to grind out and have fun. I would say that osu! has the uniqueness of playability where it provides the player with the freedom of its simplistic two input system, consisting of only two keyboard keys, for example. This simplistic system allows players to innovate and form weird and wacky instruments of playability (like the potato contraption), rather than the usual keyboard. Other factors would be the aiming component of the game, which is also categorized into different devices, like touchscreen, mouse and drawing tablets. I feel that osu! captivates the player in ways of accessibility, which we don't usually see nowadays with mainstream games. (apez roller :tf:)
Anyways, this will continue to be updated over the years, but do care to visit me around again! (also, im a bit of an empty-head so please don't be embarrassed to talk to me about stuff, brain going mush by the minute)
TL;DR : been introduced to the game through some friends and decided to give it a shot.
