About Me👤
Hello! I'm UnderScoreBaka, also known as Monochromify depending on what platform/game I'm on, I'm a student currently in Lower Sixth Form (Year 12), studying English, Psychology, Computer Science with uncertain aspirations as to the future.
In truth, the reason I started playing the game is rooted in ego, the reason I'm still playing is out of spite, as of writing this, about two years ago now, I saw that CWC22 had an accepted rank range of 5000+ and I believed that catch had so few players that I'd easily make it in in a month... of course I haven't done that yet, and despite now being comfortably in the top 1,000 I'm quite far off of playing in CWC, but maybe one day.
Also one time some random guy who had the "restricted" role and a Shadow the Hedgehog profile picture on a small catch discord server told me to come back to show off my top plays when I have a 1000pp when I was celebrating my first 100pp and that incident still fuels me to this day.

Hey there, I'm Baka, also known as Mono, I'm a 16 year old Polish-British student with a wide list of interests and hobbies, especially being interested in politics, philosophy, psychology and game design. I don't know what the future holds, I'd like to try be a famous author of some type, or at least somehow contribute to writing as a ghost-writer or editor, but I can also see myself becoming a psychologist or mental health professional of some kind, which are also things I'm passionate about, however as long as everything ends up well and everyone is doing okay, than I'm more than happy!

In catch, I'd most accurately describe myself as a no-mod one trick with an emphasis on speed mechanics and light tech/stamina, I'm well versed in converts, because I originally transitioned from standard to catch, so I had a more convert maps to begin with resulting in me learning the skillset earlier than most people, and kept learning and improving on it from there. Mod wise I've never really played them, I can play DT and HR to a pretty good degree due to being able to read higher ARs, but I've never been able to play hidden reliably.
