Status: Mostly just coding. I made my own snake game on C++ with no game engine (~500 lines of code) and nowadays I'm making my own game engine.
It's not a huge deal but I'm doing my best...!

I don't play much osu!taiko nowadays, just a few times a week whenever I'm burnt out from coding and need to take a rest with some distraction...

The way I do graphics is mostly just coding, maths, illustrations. I love Computer Science with all my heart but I absolutely hate IT stuff so don't ask me your stupid IT questions please THANKS

Coding tips
All programming languages are completely valid so don't worry about which one you use except POSIX BRE/ERE and JavaScript which suck in my opinion (the only correct opinion, of course)
C++ my beloved. GCC is goated for its -S flag.

Don't overthink programming. Just go and bang your head against pdfs, papers, maths, DSA I and II and code, and keep going until you get it working. Then back up your code and try to improve it. Try to learn something new. Improve your code again. Learn modularization. Improve your code again. Learn callbacks. Improve your code again. Learn OOP. Improve your code again. Learn polymorphism. Improve your code again. And so on...

You also need to learn assembler and binary at some point, unless you want to be a dumb stupid programmer all your life who just copypastes tutorials with no idea of what they are doing. No, you don't need to memorise the 67 bajillion x86 ASM instructions. You just need to learn the basic notions of how a computer works with 1s and 0s. Basic notions of a stack, an array, a pointer. Basic notions of logic gates. And so on. A lot of silly and naive questions and misconceptions can be answered by stepping into binary (okay usually hexadecimal but it doesn't matter, you get the idea) because that's what going on inside your computer.

What can I say. It worked for me. If this stupid bitch can make it, then you have no excuse.

Music taste
Favourite instrument (as a listener): Drums
Some artists I like: Cityyy, Yousei Teikoku, Demetori, ICDD, Dragonforce, Unlucky Morpheus, Thousand Leaves, Nile, Lorna Shore, 7_7, ReeK, Camellia...
Favourite genres: Jazz, Rock, Metal, Breakcore... anything that has cool drums in general :3

More drawings soon someday... but... coding comes first qwq

personal reflections
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A sensible person does not punish a man because he has sinned, but in order to keep him from sin; for while the past cannot be recalled, the future may be forestalled. ~ Plato

We live in an interesting society, where people who commit one-off sins or harmful actions just by mistake get mortified, while people who deliberately and consistently lie and/or manipulate others for long periods of time go unpunished - their heinous actions undocumented.

Everyone deserves a second chance - Always forgive, but never forget.

We live in a world where some guy suffers through hell with programming or engineering or the like, but then a pretty face at public relations or sth will earn more by doing absolutely nothing. Personally, any job that doesn't contribute to society (or, even worse, causes DETRIMENT to it) is firetrucking cringe to me.

My Maps

^ Explanation
The maps crossed out with red are the bad ones
The maps that don't have anything drawn on it are just meh
The maps in green are the ones I consider to be my better ones

Also play llovizna de tristeza :3

How to stop being toxic to others...? ;_;

Personal skillset in drum game:

  • Weaknesses:
  1. Spinners
  2. kddddkdddk
  3. Mods
  4. Being toxic to others :c

  • Strengths:
  1. 9* NM
  2. I love making frens c:
MY OSU COLLECTIONS FOR YOU TO IMPROVE AT NOMOD (WIP SECTION)
will also have collection for specific mods and skillsets but pls be patient e.e

https://osustats.ppy.sh/collections/1?user=16422988
SUPERNOOB's stream collection

^ for the "kddk stream starter pack": you can NM or HT the maps in the collection. It was created with that in mind :p ^

Various opinions on this game
  1. Tryouts should be enforced in XWCs where rosters aren't unanimously agreed on, and where there is enough staff to conduct so (just a refferee from staff would do). This would prevent nepotism. There's no rule in place that prevents the temporal captain to choose whoever they want (i.e their "friends") regardless of their skill in osu. This has happened multiple times in the past, and will continue happening for as long as no rules prevent it from occurring.

    A teammate is toxic? This could be handled by the Tournament Committee or just GMTs. Just ban them or blacklist them from XWCs if their conduct is inappropriate, regardless of osu skill.

  2. Exploits should be either bannable or fully supported in-game. Because we're in a limbo between those two, some players like me tend to get frowned upon. I would stop using exploits if/where not allowed, but as long as they are allowed, there's no reason not to try to get the most out of them ("play smarter, not harder" sort of thing)

Trying to regain self-esteem little by little... (I delete this me!section very often when I find myself depressed)

It's hard to explain my skill level in osu!taiko. I've always seen myself as a "mid-point" between absolute noob and absolute top player.

I've always done my best to keep up. I didn't play 24/7 but I did use to play several hours a week. And have relentlessly done so throughout the years (~50 mins of osu daily for +6 years)

This has been possible because, for the longest, osu!taiko was the only videogame I played.

Despite this much effort, the results seem to be that they are not enough to keep me afloat. New players have been beating me easily so I can't even manage to mantain my rank or outperform newer players. My improvement is too slow, so I always remain behind, huh...

I have already shifted my focus towards other things anyway (being miserable).

I want to do community things too but I have too many things on my to do list (and I'm too lazy to do any of them)...

How to improve at osu!taiko (Crash Course Edition)
(This is just for the funsies so pls don't take it too seriously, criticize the maps but not the mappers ok thx)

  1. Don't play converts. If you don't know what a convert is, stop reading this tutorial immediately (hehee :p)
  2. Use HT to learn new patterns.
  3. LEARN 1 OR 2 PATTERNS AT A TIME. TRYING TO GRASP TOO MANY NEW PATTERNS AT ONCE MIGHT OVERWHELM YOU.
  4. DON'T RETRY TOO OFTEN, DON'T PAUSE TOO OFTEN. TRY TO MOSTLY PLAY MAPS FROM BEGINNING TO END WITHOUT RETRYING OR PAUSING. They will kill your consistency.
  5. Use mods to improve your accuracy. Min-maxing OD adjustments from the editor works as well.
  6. Use edits (custom diffs where you crop the part of a map you're struggling with)
  7. Whenever you can't read a specific section in a map, memorization from the editor / muscle memory is your friend.
  8. Play a lot of "new" maps (i.e maps you haven't played yet)
  9. ^ Don't play a lot of "new" maps :p
  10. ^ ^ Basically, find the balance that works for you. For me, I prefer spending 2 - 5 full attempts per map. And no, you shouldn't play the same maps in many sessions in a row.
  11. PAUSE THE EDITOR, ZOOM IN OR OUT AS YOU NEED, AND LEARN PATTERNS FROM THERE BY TAPPING THEM ON YOUR DESK AT YOUR OWN PACE
  12. Don't play 3* Futsuu. Grow up and learn Muzukashii instead.
  13. Don't play 4* Muzukashii. Grow up and learn Oni instead.
  14. Don't play ranked maps. 99.99999% ranked maps are too easy. You won't get good playing 1* vocaloid songs.
  15. ^ PLAYING TOURNAMENT MAPS AND GRAVEYARD MAPS IS LIKE THE ONLY WAY TO IMPROVE IN OSU!TAIKO. Some loveds are good too but some are not. When it comes to graveyard, try to seek "good mappers" (I don't know many, but like: kawaiibass, applerss, nananass, _Rise, hata no kokoro, _Kan2, Axer, etc.)
  16. ^ Don't play gimmick maps. Learning gimmick will only get you good at gimmick and nothing else, it's a skillset that is hard to leverage to other areas of the game.
  17. ^ Don't play Ono maps above 6*
  18. ^ Don't play super old (pre-2015) maps AT ALL
  19. ^ Play Nwolf maps, but only the ones within your skill range
  20. ^ Play some Nifty maps, but not too many.
  21. ^ Play every single NM1 and TB map out there.
  22. USE COLLECTION MANAGER
  23. USE OSU-TRAINER OR OSU!LAZER
  24. Learn kddk full alt (OPTIONAL)
  25. Use "legit" (≠ bannable) exploits (OPTIONAL)

My favourite TV shows!
My top 3 favourite TV shows:

- For kids: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (first 4 seasons)
- For teens: RWBY (Season 1)
- For adults: Working Overtime to Destroy the World!

I enjoy tales with moral. These three works all teach very valuable lessons. If you ask me, I think the world would be a happier place if every single human in the world experienced these three shows.

From an outsider's point of view, it's very easy to take them at face value: "oooh, they're all but childish ponies, edgy teens with weapons, and tentacle fetish. Grow up", but that's just not true. Things might be portrayed like that in the surface, but deep down there they convey beautiful moral lessons and contain super heartwarming stories that I'll cherish forevermore.
For me, these stories are the best in the world, and I would never change them for anything.

I feel very priviliged to have been able to experience them.

Artists from all around the world: Thank you for your work.

Honourable mentions (other shows that I also liked):
- Onegai My Melody
- Sailor Moon (Latin dub from the 90s)
- Frieren (Season 1, Season 2, everything)

I would recommend all of them if you have a taste for them.

THINGS I CAN / CAN'T DO FOR YOU

I try to be a friendly person however I tend to be quite a b*tch so there are some things that make me super uncomfy and trigger the sh*t out of me, so:

* Fren: Sure! I love making frens ^^
* Chat / DMs: yes
* Mutual: yes
* Testplay: sometimes. However, keep in mind that IF YOUR MAP IS >5*, I'LL NEED ~1 HOUR TO WARM UP.. Thanks.
* Modding: Yes
* See osu!taiko screenshots: Yes. I love seeing your scores ^^ ☆
* Spectate: Preferrably NOT. Might give in sparingly if you don't ask way too often, but don't count on it.
* !! ^ Bonus note: I always spectate when I ask for testplay (unless you explicitly tell me not to).

* Discord (or any other social media) fren: yes
* Discord VC: Maybe
* Facetime (?: No

Pinneds are ordered in DDKK difficulty of FCing (subjective). Missing pinned: scores/6839148759 (I don't have osu!support to pin it but pretend that it's pinned in uh second to last place yea)

Playstyle:
Mostly DDKK no handswitch, but I have some 8 key and handswitch scores too.

Keyboard:
Brand new CX WK-718b (super cheap and comfy scissors keyboard that I would love to recommend but sadly has this terrible polling rate of 125hz (delays up to 8ms for inputs, basically)) (I absolutely recommend it for 60fps precision games, but definitely not for precision games with unlimited framerate)

In-game settings:
* Res: 800x600 (slow scroll speed) or 1024x600 (high scroll speed) or 1280x600 (very high scroll speed).
Framerate: 480fps (Optimal with (60hz monitor))
* Offset: -5ms Universal Offset. That is: -4ms to account for the keyboard delay (0 - 8ms] (the average here would be 4ms), and -1ms more to account for the framerate (480fps ≅ 2ms) (the average here would be 1ms) (4ms + 1ms = 5ms).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have accidentally caused some drama in the past. Please forgive me. It was all a misunderstanding.

I tend to struggle a lot with issues like low self-esteem and depression so I hope you will forgive the mental breakdowns that I sometimes go through. I would never directly harm someone on purpose, but sometimes it can happen on accident x.x

- Occupation: Former Programming Teacher and English Teacher.
Currently studying a programming course...

illustrations and graphics programming.

- Hobbies: SUPERNOOB Studios (I'm doing my best so that someday it may transcend from "hobby" to "occupation") :3

gamedev
Usually I treat gamedev as a source of "excuse projects" to keep learning and improving programming and art.

So... more focus on learning and practising my own skills rather than on achieving a polished finished product.

That being said...

I made a snak gaem with no game engine (with SDL3). You can play it on my github

Currently making my own game engine in C++ (with SDL3), supermotor. It's panning out decently but don't expect a huge deal. Just something basic for me to make my own games with.

supermotor features:
✅️ Batch rendering (loading data to the GPU in bulk)
❌️ 3D
✅️ Generalized math stuff for N dimensions (1D, 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D, etc)
✅️ Gallery ADT (grids, image galleries, etc.)
✅️ Animations (atlas)
✅️ Collisions
✅️ Screenshots
❌️ Shaders, Graphics pipeline

- Ongoing games being developed at SUPERNOOB Studios (ordered by personal priority of development):
