About
HI! I'm SuperGion915, I am a casual Osu! player who plays all 4 gamemodes (mainly Standard and Taiko), I mostly enjoy to SS maps regardless of difficulty, specially using DTHDHR (and rarely FL, mainly when there is the possibility of easy rank farming).
About Me
Also known as Gion915, I am a former YTPMVer and former Speedrunner.
I've always enjoyed rhythm games although never had an actually set game to develop my skills into, most commonly I'd play rhythm games mostly as minigames of other videogames or at a Dance Dance Revolution machine at an arcade, aside of that my experience was limited as my PC wasn't able to handle Stepmania (for some reason) and I didn't want to pay for any game, although I did get to play The Impossible Game and Geometry Dash in 2014 and played but never thought of them as rythym games tbh.

Osu! Journey
Birth Era (2017)
I knew about Osu! at least since 2017 (probably before but idk), didn't actually get in because of any player, in fact I don't remember at all how I found about Osu!, I'm guessing it probably had to do with Night of Knights or an old Patrick Zone video.
I ended up creating an account on 2017 that didn't last long, only 2 plays were Liquid and some Taiko map, only thing I can remember about this test is that I didn't knew about the keyboard so played mouse only.
Unfortunately it is a different account from this one, and due to alt rules, I had to terminate it.
Old account (had to be terminated due to alt rules):

Late Birth Era (2020)
I came back on 2020, probably as a result of insane plays in Osu! like Galaxy Collapse (Taiko and Mania mainly but also Standard), however I probably faced the same challenges as previously, I didn't understand the game, where to get songs from, how to change gamemode, and neither the keyboard, so I probably quit again.
The Beginning (2021)
It's a shame to say this, but I kinda came back to Osu! due to the Friday Night Funkin fever, everyone was playing it because it was rythym, it was simple, and it was funny, I was already late to the FNF hype, entering about March 2021 just after the Week 6 was announced, I never actually played it for the accuracy, but more for the pass of the game, and after some struggling I was done with the game, now what was next?
I first started playing FNF mods, being my favorite the Kapi and AGOTI ones, which were absolutely more challenging but fun, however, after downloading mods I realized how goddamn annoying it was to download the entire game millions of times just to get mods, + some of the mods I was downloading weren't even vocalized (like a Night of Knights mod). Eventually I just thought I'd just play an actual keyboard game, one already established, where you can easily download songs and play them, and have your score saved on the internet, not just locally, there just seemed one obvious alternative...
I tried 2 well known free games to play, Stepmania and obviously Osu! Mania, I honestly never understood Stepmania so Osu! Mania was the way to go, after I learned about the converts it was perfect, almost every song I could imagine I could just download and play, obviously played the default maps too but my main entretainment was just searching songs I liked and playing them (except when the map was ass, yep played a lot of bad unranked maps), the options were limitless, so I gladly enjoyed Osu! Mania, which ended up replacing Friday Night Funkin as my main rhythm game.
While I still wasn't a consistent player of the game, it was absolutely a good amount of effort I was willing to put to play once in a while, and it is a key reason why I am still in Osu! to this day.

The Obsession (2022)
On 2022 I started getting obsessed with Osu!, more specifically with Osu! Mania, I wanted to play a lot of maps including some of the most recently ranked ones at the moment, first it started on college since I had to wait a long time for my family to pick me, so I catched Mania as a hobby to do in the meanwhile, my playcount was way higher than usual during the summer vacation, which was also my highest until I started playing regularly at the end of 2024, during this period I started enjoying a lot the game and tried to get some involvement in the community by joining the Osu! Game Discord in which I was recommended to stop playing converts and focus into properly Mania maps, which I did, with this my convert era ended and one of rapid improvement happened.
However, eventually, I had to return to classes, and unlike last time I didn't had much breaks + I had lost some passion for the game as I forced myself to pass every single map with an S rank, making the game overall less enjoyable at the long term as I played maps I didn't like a ton of times, while this was honestly dumb for me to do I ended up doing so.

Enjoy the Game (2023-2024)
Fortunately I never left the game completely and I still enjoyed to play Osu! a lot, mainly casually and once in a while, I logged in very rarely but still played to a level I enjoyed, unfortunately it was hard for me to accept I can't FC a map so it was still pretty common for me to try a map many times until I FCd, fortunately not to a toxic level like I did in 2022 and I did play maps beyond the ones I "hadn't passed".
Eventually I just enjoyed the game at its fullest, playing casually maps, seeking to S but not getting pissed off at getting lower ranks, and pretty much seeking to improve, whenever I saw low acc previously I'd feel like shit, but later on I changed my way of thinking...
"If you worry about you accuracy, just play an easy map and quit, having lower accuracy means you are pushing your limits" - SuperGion915
With this I enjoyed the game way more than I ever did even if I didn't had any superlong game session.

The Grind (Late 2024 - 2025)
Very recently, I have started to play Osu! extremely more commonly, since then I have raised my Std Time from barely 2 days to 7 days, and I have kept playing for enjoyment, instead of forsing myself to certain standard I just have different sessions depending how I feel, sometimes I just want some Silver SS in 2 star maps, sometimes I want to give it my try to long 4 star maps, sometimes I just want to play Taiko, despite the grind, it ain't anything toxic, I enjoy every single aspect, and most importantly, I feel I am slowly improving and that makes me happy.
Now, I don't know how long this will last, but as of now I have been greatly enjoying Osu! for almost 6 months and will be more than happy to continue enjoying the game for as long as I feel, and don't take me wrong, I do have my breaks and my times I don't want to play, but overall I am ready for a challenge.
