A casual game enjoyer, I play for fun and sometimes apply for some tournaments (also for fun and experience).
My skills depend on my mood. If I feel like playing something, I definitely cook those.

People who inspired me (in order)

tokaku a start of osu journey.
HazeJoestar met online through my irl friend. He gave me some outskilled graveyard maps at that time which turns me into a 7-8* enjoyer this day.
FunOrange the goat, my idol. He inspires me to play tech and aim with mouse.
leqakali, [MBR] VTSeele and rainbown my osu! gaming life has changed since I met them.
Minorin_ had a personal promise to learn to play EZ like him.
Zeklewa another idol. Inspired me to play EZ and mouse only. Fan a Zeklewa 20 nam
davidminh0111 host of VOT3 and VOT4. I got a chance to participate and meet strong players. I found my main skillsets and in love with gimmicks since then.
fysotl met online by chance. Sliders bros. He help me reflect my main skill. The one I respect and uoc j.
Khavid kidnapped and made me play HR for the tourney. Now I can literally play HR.

Modes

Standard: tech and aim enjoyer, fingercontrol is okay, gimmick and EZ learner. I'm quite good at all skillsets except for consistency and holding combos.
My true skills are all on pinboard. That's what I enjoy playing.

My thoughts

Do not ever cheese sliders, you're just not fast enough.
Learn the game, never spam retry (unless you're into FLs type shii idk).
It's all about having fun, don't stress over a game.
Try other modes too if you can. I started as a mania main, inherited stamina and mindset from that to work with my std and taiko; and used rhythm sense from taiko to improve on std. Every mode can contribute to some sort of skills, you could never know.

lazer is supposed to be creatively played and experimented with mods.

Gears & Setup

First of all, I never believe that gears affect skills. ~~Maybe they do but~~ those are not the reason you get skill issue'd.
I played with my 2010 Window 7 Desktop then switched to a 320$ PC set and I'm still improving.

Desktop

Keyboard: Fuhlen L500S -> Akko 3108, Yellow switch (wow first time using mech kb)
Mouse: Fuhlen L102 (dpi default 800, game sensitivity 1.21~1.23->1.19)
Monitor: A 60$ secondhand LG IPS LED 22EA53.
