opinions
- any timing offset error more than 3 ms in magnitude is unacceptable.
- osu hitsounding sucks. makes the game harder and less enjoyable. destroys rhythm sense. i hate it. if you want to see hitsounding done right, look at Guitar Hero.
- osu players are tapping 26 ms early because of beatmap timing offset errors + hitsounding. [1] [2]
- everyone is held back from their true potential in osu. not only because of BTOE, but also b/c of visual latency. even with the best setup in the world, there is at least 15 ms of visual latency. the monitor with the best latency in the world still has 14 ms of visual latency.
