Inspirations
Standard:
WhiteCat:
I don't think it's very surprising that the #1 player during the time I signed up was my first inspiration. But I used to be a WhiteCat fangirl, always used his skins and whatnot early on. But even when he lost #1, and even during the time he held #1, he remained well rounded as a player and could dominate whenever he decided to log on that day. It feels like nowadays people forget how dominant he was in his prime. I think how he stayed well rounded throughout his career inspired me to do the same, and that definitely molded me into the player I am now.
Toy:
He was my first exposure to older maps. When the Xexxar rework hit in 2021, a lot of older bursty/finger control maps got buffed, and I really enjoy that old mapping style, so i downloaded a ton of older maps. And most of the time I would see Toy at the top of the leaderboards. It inspired me to go for leaderboards on those maps too. I really do think that shaped what sort of scores I go for, and what I strive to achieve in this game.
WubWoofWolf:
He is an inspiration for almost the same exact reason as Toy. A lot of the plays i ended up wanting to go for happened to be in the same skillset, or were the same maps he played (ex. Crazy Motorcycle Chase HDDTHR). And I of course knew about him since the beginning, but only truly appreciated his skill when I looked at older maps which I took an interest in.
Taiko:
applerss:
Mean... It's applerss. His speed is absurd, and he was the reason I started playing on DDKK and not KDDK. The score that made me realize how insane taiko could be is his Scattered Faith FC. And finding out hes DDKK, which, was something I didn't fully understand at the time, really amazed and inspired me. I think around that time in 2022 i hadnt even broke top 8000. So I stuck with DDKK since I knew it was possible to eventually get to that level myself as well.
Dizzayy:
We didnt start talking until 2023, but he was a big motivator for me and gave me tips/advice along the way while playing. He was a big help in helping me transition from a low/mid level player to getting where I am now to top 10 in the US. And even now, I'd still like to improve to get to his level eventually.
