my mapping perspective: song representation > personal preference
- mapping choices must be dictated by what sounds are playing (think about what the composer wants you to listen to in the song, less about what you personally focus on)
- learn your fundamentals. satisfying both the ranking criteria and beatmap nominators should not be your standard of mapping
