taiko.rs

My own taiko client for osu! beatmaps, written in Rust. It runs on Linux, Windows and Android, finds your osu! Songs folder by itself, and uses lazer's conversion and hit windows, osu!'s star ratings and osu!-style pp.

On top of that there are 70+ mods, from the ones you know to things osu! doesn't have: lanes bent into rails, a moving playfield, and Multiverse's eight playfields. It also has online lobbies, spectating, friends and chat.

As a player

Playing taiko since early 2022, after osu!standard. Best rank so far is #1,206 (April 2023).

The long version

Having experience in std, starting on 5 stars was no problem for me. Pretty quickly I got to 7 stars and I was really enjoying the game until a new meta was added. I don't know why, but right after the pp rework I completely lost the desire to play and delved more into mapping.

I often tried to change my playstyle because my current one doesn't allow me to play bpm above 250 and also 1/6. Spoiler, I failed :3

I can try to play your map if you ask me to, but there's a better chance I'll just look it up in the editor.

CIS TAIKO MAPPING

I created this Discord server to develop CIS mapping, to help newcomers and to unite the community. I'm very grateful to everyone there for taking part in taiko's life, and I hope people will see more and more cool maps from our guys.
