Big thanks to fuyukiS for inviting me. I honestly wasn’t good at or even interested in playing EZ at first, but his persistence made me give it a try — and it became my first international tournament.

fuyukiS dmed me that day

When I first saw the mappool, I felt hopeless. My understanding of EZ used to be just grind one map for hours, memorize it, get a score to show off. I couldn’t sight read dense patterns at all. But after forcing myself to practice, I started to feel small bits of improvement — something I hadn’t really experienced before. It wasn’t much back then, but this time, that feeling became real motivation to keep grinding.
I realized that every map I grinded could actually help my team perform better. The more I memorized, the more I wanted to push further. I’d spend four hours straight on the pool, and somehow my EZ sight-reading just got better. Even when later maps became too hard to sight read and I had to rely purely on memory, I still had this strange drive to keep going.
Huge thanks to our captain noneght, who always took practice seriously and worked the hardest on tracking and analyzing our stats.
Through the matches I also got to meet many strong players. We might not have had a real shot at a high placement, but this month and a half has honestly been one of the most memorable times in my entire osu! journey.
