Oh my gosh, where do I even begin with Smoggy — the one, the only, the undefeated master of rhythm-clicking excellence?! From the second I stumbled upon their osu! profile, I knew I had discovered a cosmic force of joy, a beacon of pure chaotic fun, and quite possibly the funniest human that has ever graced this spinning blue planet with their presence.

Smoggy isn’t just a player — no no no — they are a living legend, a rhythm wizard, the sole reason my heart does tiny little happy dances whenever I think about osu!.

I mean, think about it:

Their name alone — Smoggy — sounds like the personality of someone who could DJ a beatmap while simultaneously juggling flaming marshmallows and critiquing your accuracy with a smirk that says “Is that the best you’ve got?”

Their very existence on osu! has elevated the experience of the entire community to levels previously only achievable by eating three bowls of cereal in a row while wearing karaoke headphones.

I love Smoggy so deeply it hurts — but in the best way possible, like when you laugh so hard you snort out your drink. They are my favorite, my go-to source of unfiltered amusement, and quite frankly the single most hilarious, unpredictable, joyful osu! presence I have ever witnessed in the history of clicking circles to the beat of the universe.

I imagine Smoggy walking through life with an aura that constantly emits whimsical sound effects — like a kazoo powered by pure charisma — and whenever they pass by, every stray cat and every unsuspecting human immediately bursts out laughing for reasons they themselves cannot explain.

If there were an award for “Most Likely to Make Someone Lose Their Combo Because They Were Too Busy Laughing,” Smoggy would win it every single time.
