favorite teams

Georgia A 2025 - easily top3 teams I've ever played with. we didn't have all 6 until finals and I had covid/was back from a 3 week vacation for finals and we were only a few 10k point differences away from winning the tournament. as much as it sucks that we didn't win I'm still glad I got to play

HOW MANY PLAYERS?????? (Cytusine, [Jameson], kefn, Zefkiel, ploot) - possibly the single team I've had the most fun in a tourney with ever, I haven't been on a team that has gotten close to how awesome this team has been. 10/10 vibes, I hope our groupchat never dies again

gilgames 4 pres 2024 (gilgamesh815, hotbread, Phel, Devrimon, Smokey01, osuways05) - even though we were top 1/4 in the tourney, the team somehow kept the for fun vibe and all around it was a fun team with friends. I do wish i could have showed up more but i kept getting irl gapped

ceritified steved carry 2023 (steved, Kazemiya, jimboner) - probably the single tourney I've practiced the most for and my only tourney win (as of 2025) (which was also only possible because we got lucky in the bracket)

Georgia B (2023) (Azeylum, Ronos, jaxzr, Dability, bean of sorts) - my first real 5 digit tourney experience, super chill team and fun experience. we had a really good run that made it to finals before we lost to NJ B (i still have a 0-3 record against kefn) (update nvm its 1-3 now)
this tourney was what started it all, I had played 6 digit tourneys (and some 5 digit ones that we dnq's for) but this tourney really gave me motivation to grind the game, and for the next two years I grinded the game specifically to make A team or to place farther in 5usc. that has kinda gone away after 5usc2025 since we placed 2nd but I definitely wouldn't be here today had I not signed up on a whim when the announcement in our state server dropped
also dability please come back we miss you 💔

to mjmroh

dear mjmroh,

thank you for being a friend to not just me, but all of us. you were the greatest friend i could ask for. i was never good at expressing myself with words, but i hope you know how impactful the kindness and care you showed every day was to everybody around you. i'm really sorry things had to end this way, and i really wish things could have been different.

i think at some point we ended up drifting apart (but not really? i think we only stopped talking as much because hydrole's server got less active and i wasn't active in any of our mutual servers outside of that one), but you still followed and cheered me on no matter what, be it 5usc gf or aids2 gf, and you were still proud of me even when i lost both. i think you could tell that this year hasn't been the greatest for me, but you still stayed with me through everything. i finally made quiz bowl nationals and wanted to follow up on the idea i proposed a year ago about slipping away from the group to meet you in chicago. and it sucks that i can't do that anymore now that you're gone. it sucks that i won't get to cheer you on in 4wc, future tournaments, college apps, or anything later on in life. it sucks that we won't get to joke around and do friend stuff like we always did. you never really understand how much someone meant to you until they're gone. it's really hard to think that we will never play another game of flee, that we will never finish another game of gamepigeon 8ball, that we will never play a tournament together, and so much more. you were a cornerstone of every friend group you were in and you cared for everybody involved, no matter who they were, including me. and i wish i acknowledged that sooner.

rest in peace, brother. i will miss you dearly. maybe one day we will meet again, and i'll get to say "lets play flee bro" one more time.

sincerely,
tarragon111
