why I'm not improving (7 days left to improve again)

I'm currently on an Accutane treatment for acne, and it's adversely affecting my development as a player. It causes dry eyes, drains my energy, worsens my mood, and leads to various pains. If anyone ever suggests you go on this treatment, DO NOT DO IT. It ruins your life. I should be off it by around May 2026, and as soon as I am, I'll get back to improving like before. Thanks.

Advices are gladly accepted!

Update (1/17/26): I can somehow make good scores, but sniping my PB's from before the treatment seems impossible for now. I'm mostly playing acc and gimmick patterns 👍

Update (2/25/26): I managed to get peak skill despite all the issues I mentioned, so I can play hard stuff, but still a bit limited by my blurry vision and joint pain. However, my current situation is much better than the previous one. This doesn't mean I'm recovered, but I've learned how to play regardless the discomforts.

About me

I'm Luqas, been playing osu!mania 7k since early 2023! I like farming pp whenever I'm able to, but most of the time I'm not so I push or play acc. Also playing tournaments, feel free to invite me to your team (but I'm not sure if I'll accept)
I like languages, specially japanese, and started practicing judo a few months ago.

I'm known for being a young player with a really fast improvement, getting from 0 to top 99 in less than 1 year, and from top 99 to top 50 in around 9 months. However, I have no idea why I tend to improve that fast.

Oh also I like playing other gamemodes, but I'm not constant at them so you'll see me ranking up at them from time to time.

feeling stuck and wanting to improve?

I understand that a simple "play more" isn't enough to make progress.
If you're willing to improve, always go beyond your limits with hard maps and high bpms, and, more importantly, attack your weaknesses!! You feel you've reached a limit? Look for those skills you're the worst at, and play them. I ensure you, you'll advance much faster. This is a game where the more you improve, the more things you discover you're bad at, and even at my level I keep finding aspects of the game I struggle a lot with. This means you always must have a humble attitude and admit that you're not probably as good as you think.
