I started playing osu in 2022 after seeing some clips on TikTok. I was drawn to the variety of beatmaps that explored music from media I enjoy. I started with standard and soon switched to mania, which I fell in love with. However, due to the loss of my old keyboard and hand injuries (synovial cyst), I ended up unable to play those two modes. With that in mind, I started playing taiko because it's less keyboard-dependent – ​​I could play comfortably using the laptop's own keys – and my right hand, which is my dominant hand, is completely healthy.


I thought it would be something temporary, but I ended up really liking the game and it's remained my main to this day. I'm relatively new to the mode and haven't played many hours. The main problems I see are my difficulty playing at slower scroll speeds (I really struggle hitting KDK in these situations), as well as the difficulty reading streams and playing HD. Aside from that, I enjoy playing HR – only up to the point where it becomes unreadable fast – NC on low-star beatmaps that I like the song, and J-core/Dariacore.
