at first, i noticed YonGin’s and Raphalge’s TC badges and thought "Oh, osu! has tournament staff teams too"
so i just applied on impulse.

i’ve run a ton of tournaments in other games, so i thought maybe that experience could carry over, but i didn’t pass the review
i figured I just didn’t have enough experience yet, so i decided to start trying out a bunch of different things

After deliberation among all members, the prevailing opinion of most members on the Tournament Committee is that while you have improved as a host recently, you still lack too much experience to be considered as a member.The Tournament Committee is expected to have the highest level of expertise in running osu! tournaments to be able to properly legislate for all officially supported tournaments and mediate conflicts and reports within the tournament community. To this end, upon joining the Tournament Committee, all current members had already been an integral part of the wider tournament community in their respective modes for multiple years, and most had made achievements that set them apart from the rest of the community as obvious picks to be a part of the Tournament Committee.While your improvement as a host and tournament organiser is great to see, we do not believe you are yet at this required level of expertise. since my first application, i got involved in a ton of tournaments, even started a tournament project and hosted it myself
i also joined tournaments in other modes to gain more experience, but i still didn’t pass the review the second time
6 months might seem short, but it was actually a pretty big learning experience—

i just hadn’t reached that level yet
i think what I’m really lacking right now is a few big things, like decision-making and being decisive or managing how staff progress during events
for my next application, im planning to work on these points before applying again
