Inspirations
There's far to many people who I look up to in this game to list anywhere, but here are the three players that I have looked up to practically since the day I made my account.
chocomint
I have looked up to "C" basically since I started playing the game because he was already the stuff of legend. It's breathtaking how skilled and how far ahead of the world he was for pretty much his entire osu! career. Dare I say that Cookiezi is the reason why osu! is the way it is, in terms of competition and scores that people go for. There's no mistaking that he's one of the greatest to ever do it, even if he has been surpassed.
WubWoofWolf
Wolf is a person I've looked up to since the very beginning. I watched his YouTube videos on my first day of playing and I wished I could be as good as him. His dedication to playing is unparalleled and he still does it all just for fun. Watching just how dominant he is on the awkward maps of yesteryear is crazy. Wolf doesn't get enough credit for just how insane he is at this game along with how great his attitude towards playing is.
thelewa
I've always cared about accuracy so it's no wonder I ended up looking up to Lewa so much. Some of the patterns that he was able to not only hit, but hit accurately still blow me away to this day. Such consistency across nomod, HD, HR, and DT no matter the rhythm thrown at him. Lewa was such a funny and nice person too, every time he streamed it was an event. May he rest in peace.

Required Viewing
If you want to believe in yourself and start improving at osu! (or really anything) I recommend watching the following media so you can learn something about yourself.
Ping Pong the Animation (2014)
This 11 episode anime series explores the nature of competition, talent, practice, and other topics through the sport of ping pong. Not only is it a great watch on its own, but can act as a mirror, reflecting on your own attitude and understanding of competitive drive. Ask yourself: What do you play for? Who do you play for?
Whiplash (2014)
An incredible film about achieving perfection, how destructive it can be, and how unbridled passion can push you to always chase that impossible goal. As toxic as it may be, when you want to truly achieve there's some truth to the most harmful phrase in the English language being 'good job'.
The Last Dance (2020)
Possibly the best sports documentary ever released, following the 1998 Chicago Bulls putting up one final effort at winning the NBA Championship, while revisiting what got them there. I cannot recommend this 10 episode series enough to anyone, especially those interested in what makes teams work and win.
