Cool Facts about Me
I do lots of stuff! I'm aiming to be a good mapper, and hopefully decent player. I started playing Taiko in December 2024, after watching my friends in the Tetris community play it at a meetup.
I've been quite competitive & influential in a few video games:
I don't exist exclusively online! I do lots of stuff in real life, too. I graduated college with a bachelor's degree in architecture in 2024. I work now in architectural historic preservation, which has been my dream job since I was a kid, I've always had a deep love for old buildings.

Tetris
Started playing in late 2018, achieved the world record in 2021, have stayed roughly in the top 20-30 since then. I'm responsible for programming the romhack allowing players to compete with the same piece sequences, calculated and documented all of the game's behavior relating to the game crash, have hosted my own tournaments, trolled the community under 2 different fake accounts, established the high score leaderboard, and more. For my world record, I'm in a SummoningSalt video with 5M views and for my researching, an aGameScout video with 16M views. I've been recognized irl by friends and coworkers for this reason.
Minecraft
My original favorite video game, I played extensively from 5th grade to the end of high school. From about 2015 onwards, I dedicated much of my time to the Mineplex server. I was the 75th player to achieve level 100 on the server, and the 4th to do so without ever having bought a rank. I was heavily involved with the community, doing stats tracking and documenting the 100th-200th players to achieve level 100 before I stepped away in 2018. I achieved several world records in various Mineplex minigames, primarily Monster Maze, but was also a versatile player, scoring over 1,000 wins in 7 different minigames, making me one of only 6 players at the time to do so.
Lethal Company
I've gravitated towards a more casual role in this game recently, but was involved in early research into game mechanics. I achieved a 7,000 trio quota in spring 2024, I think? It wasn't too far off the record at the time. I provided the explanation for a bug with the shotgun item that actually led directly to a bugfix by the game's dev, zeekerss.

Some other interests I have:
Drawing (furry)
I'm an artist- in traditional art, I excel in pen-and-ink rendering, primarily of architectural subjects. Digitally, I do furry art; I take commissions for a bit of extra income on the side. Profile banner is drawn by yours truly!
Storm Chasing
As my profile banner shows, I like tornados. In 2011 my sister was on a field trip in Springfield, MA and that coincided with the Springfield tornado. That made 10-year-old me very jealous. With the freedom that comes from being an adult, I've been trying to see one for myself since 2023. So far, my tornado count is 1. 2 if you count one in Illinois that I was 0.2 miles from but couldn't see due to rain.
Music
I play piano! My primary interest is ragtime, Tom Brier is my favorite pianist. In terms of listening to music, I enjoy anything with energy. I love Future Core and several adjacent genres, j-core, hitech, techcore. Generally the more notes and harmony going on, the better.
Hiking/Urbex
I've explored several abandoned buildings, although it's a bit less interesting to me these days since my job literally sends me to survey abandoned buildings now. My favorite visit so far would be the Johnson Sanatorium; they invented granola there! I also enjoy hiking and nature; putting on boots and walking up a streambed is always good fun. At some point I'd like to summit Mt. Marcy, which is the highest peak in NY, but I need to train more first.
