I can no longer feel the pleasure as a player at this moment. In the old days, I could spend all my time practicing, but now I simply don’t want to play a single map (not even my favorite map which I could play every time when I got online). During these months, I’ve been opening osu only to listen to the music, instead of playing it. I believe this shows that I’m gradually losing my passion for playing osu.
Currently, mapping is my biggest enjoyment; it is interesting because I can truly enjoy my favorite songs to the fullest, and it teaches me a lot of new understanding. By contrast, playing any maps is just a waste of time for me right now. In the future, I will be spending little time on playing, but spending most of my time on mapping area (modding for others, editing my own maps, and sending guest difficulties).
Finally, thank you for reading this. The next time you can see me playing diligently might be the CWC for the next year. After all, playing in CWC has always been my goal. Of course, I cannot guarantee that I won't suddenly lose interest in participating in CWC.
