How experienced am I?

I've been modding passively since late 2017 and I hate kudosu v2. I consider myself as an average modder so I enjoy modding experienced mappers' sets. For newer mappers I can provide some general feedback so feel free to ping me:) Also, I am very strict about aesthetics.

If a map is in a rankable state, can it be ranked?

My answer is obviously no (I've already gone through so much of this). Even if a map is rankable it doesn't mean it's 'nominatable'. It's far harder to achieve the latter state. I guess there are some extra rules or guidelines that a map must stick to. Skills to apply to such rules come from experience, from mentorship programs (never got picked tho :c ), from studying other beatmaps and from pishi's videos.

I've been mapping passively since late 2016 and if not for those guys, I wouldn't have advanced so much. I cannot really offer them anything back so I'll continue the teaching cycle by aiding novice mappers.

A little bit about me

Born: 2000
Gender: Male
Name: admit it, you don't care

Old username explanationseselis is just a Romanized version of a Lithuanian word šešėlis (similarly pronounced as "shesheelis") and it means shadow. Shadow is my favourite character from Sonic X which was my most loved childhood TV show (I only recently realized it's anime). I was advised by one of my friends to put a number into my nickname when I was creating one and so I simply added 1 to the end. It sounds awfully hilarious when you pronounce my name as seselis1 but that's how I want it to be pronounced even by native speakers.
2015 October - my friend LikeTotallyLuks introduced me to osu! but a few weeks later (like for the most people) it got bored. I came back after about a year for no reason and within a few days I jumped from 2* to 4* almost without touching 3*.

2016 October - same friend told me that I should try mapping. Well, I tried and like almost every novice mapper I wanted to rank my first map and eventually after 5 hard months of mapping and remapping with lots of help from others I dropped it. But I will come back to it someday

In 2017 I bought a tablet, a mechanical keyboard and better headphones. I started playing this game seriously, I started playing 10* maps but I only could beat some of the 5* and with such an improvement my rank skyrocketed from 200k to 190k. In April I started playing CTB and in two months I got in top 10 of CTB players. In my country ofc where nobody plays it.

Most of the 2018 was passive for me. However, in August, I made my first storyboard because I participated in the Aspire contest which was a storyboard contest. Also, in November, I made my first ranked map.

In 2019 Aspire 2018 results came out with me taking the 3rd place. That's how my entry became my first loved map. I didn't rank any maps in that year but I made my first attempt applying for a BN. Didn't make it but meh, would've dropped out anyway due to studies.
