葛藤
a battle between the heart and the mind,
an epic tale of rage and serenity
discordant, yet coexistent.
filled with fury and rage, the heart explodes in a marvellous red flame.
then whispers the voice of reason, the mind speaks softly,
imitating the soothing, chilling breeze of the great sea.
yet it was the words of thought that fueled the spark of the flame,
filling the heart's open spaces with anger, doubt and confusion.
and we continue to wonder, which is the lesser of the two evils?
the heart, for emitting feelings?
or the mind, for the lies it tells?
we shall never know, for one cannot exist without the other.
