About Me
hi! I'm 24 years old, I'm studying Spanish (looking for people to practice with), and I play all modes but my main focuses are Standard and 4K Mania. Outside of playing the game, I write, work out, and listen to music. I listen to mostly indie rock but I have a pretty wide taste so if you have something you wanna share then I'd love to listen!

My History with Rhythm Games
StepMania, 2015 - Jun 2016
My first real experience with rhythm games, not including the DDR machine I tried once at a boardwalk arcade; I downloaded a few random packs of anime openings from an old forum that still automatically emails me every year on my birthday and I subsisted on those until I was eventually met with another rhythm game
osu!, Jun 2016 - 2021
Saw a handful of people from my friend group playing a game I had recognized from a few YouTube videos, and decided to join in; one of my friends pulled me into a multi lobby and had me play standard and catch; I bought a tablet maybe a month or so later
StepMania, Jun 2016 - Oct 2016
Seeing that osu! had a gamemode similar to StepMania, I gave it a shot, but I was immediately turned off by the default skin and went back to the engine with which I was the most comfortable for a few months
osu!mania, Oct 2016 - May 2021
It took a bit of convincing from a friend I had met through the game, but I gave osu!mania another shot, and with their encouragement and advice, I learned to love the mode, making it my main until a long-term relationship made me too busy for osu! entirely
McOsu, Mar 2017 -
After a few months of playing standard, I wasn't having much fun anymore. I ended up finding McOsu and quickly falling in love with its difficulty adjustment options, smooth gameplay, and lack of pressure to FC, using all of those in tandem to hone my reading and aiming abilities offline
Etterna, Dec 2018 - Sep 2024
I used Etterna to uprate stream charts for some on-and-off stamina practice; I was never the biggest fan of the client or the engine, but it was a 4 key VSRG so I was naturally drawn to it. I took a break from the game for some time, coming back to learn that they had wiped everyone's scores to release a new client/website; I decided to quit as soon as I heard the news
Quaver, Jul 2022 - Apr 2024
I saw that this game had released on Steam and gave it a shot for a little while, reaching the top 300 after a few hours. I played very sparsely from then until early 2024 when a friend of mine started development on a Quaver Discord bot, revitalizing my interest; I climbed back to the top 850 before calling it quits
osu!mania, Sep 2022 - Aug 2024
Once my relationship had fallen through, I had much more time to devote towards osu!, and ended up clearing my two longest-standing hurdles (clearing 10th and Alpha) within just weeks of the breakup; I've had to take an indefinite hiatus from the mode due to my ocular tics, but I continue to remain active in many mania-related circles and in-touch with friends I've made through the gamemode
osu!, Mar 2024 -
Once the changes to bonus pp hit stable, I lost a considerable amount of ranks and decided despite not playing standard in a long while that I wanted to get them back. I had other motivation too, including another friend with whom I started a friendly rivalry: we played leapfrog with our ranks for a while before I started gaining traction and setting a bunch of 300pp plays, much more than he could deal with. He became more and more busy and ended up moving to Japan, softly ending our rivalry, but I still found myself having much more fun with the standard mode than I had those years ago, likely due to the massive improvement I had undergone having played offline on McOsu for so many years. Now, my main motivation to farm is to enter the appropriate rank bracket to enter the next USC and hopefully make New Hampshire proud and give everyone a show
