About me + some text logs (´• ω •`)ノ
I am a standard and mania player, but I suck at both modes. In real life, I am trying to persue a PhD degree for Mathematics, among many other endeavors. (current progress: doing my master's degree in japan) I have quite an interest in many other fields of things such as art, music, and the likes. As much as I would like to learn/master doing them, I am ashamed to say that it did not pick up very well. Hopefully one day I will allow myself to try again.
I used to play a lot of the game as a teenager, trying to get better and all, but when I get older, all I want now is to mess around with friends and have fun. Nowadays, I play full length/marathon maps I am able to aim for an FC (check out my pinned score!), it's satisfying to see myself getting thousands of combo, sometime hitting 10,000 combos when I play (my current record is 31,719!!). Though, it hurts alot if you do miss after those combos, but thats where the fun lies (´• ω •`).
Currently, I am quite active in the Malaysian community, trying to keep it thriving. Cryolien and I have managed to co-host the first Malaysian-exclusive osu!mania tournament (OMMT1), which hopefully provided a gateway for many up-and-coming Malaysian players towards an international stage. This torunament is also the gateway for me to start being involved in the local tournament scene, where I get to meet many skilled players and I get to commentate countless exciting matches.
In the future, I hope to be able to provide more towards the community that I have made alot of memories in, showing that despite the size, Malaysians can still acheive many great and impactful things (´。• ω •。`) ♡.
If you would like to ask me anything, feel free to approach me via Discord, and I will do my best to help.:homielove:

My short journey in standard, and participating tournaments (WARNING: CRINGE)
On a whim, over a reason I will explain later, I tried to play standard. I have gotten incredible progress at it, acutally obtaining my first 300pp within my first 8 months in my journey. Honestly, if it wasn't for my flawed teenager attitude and mindset towards the game, I've probably would've have reached even greater heights in that mode. Standard has made me stressed about improvement, trying to "enjoy game" didn't seemed to work at all. But the game somehow put a cuff on me, pulling myself close to it, despite all my attempts at letting it go. Then one day, out of pure luck(?), I lost my tablet settings, and since then I could never find my tablet area anymore. That was the moment where I take the chance and quit standard, probably forever.
More or less, the same story happened in me attempting to play in tournaments. My only take after all the tourneys I've been in is this - I really despise when my preformance is below others. I don't even know why I am very competitive, in video games of all places, but this mindset stresses me out and I just wasn't enjoying it at all. It made me grumpy and bitter, and as a result I wasn't really being nice to everyone. Quitting tournament has helped a lot in maintaining my sanity.
Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the process when I was going through it, playing standard, as well as tournaments. I get to meet and get along with so many talented people in the community, I get to talk to people and meet people that has similiar interests than me? No way! All I've ever wanted all along was to be friends with many people, and I think that is why I tried to do so many seemingly random things that often gets me nowhere. I probably don't deserve the reputation that I am having now, so I will now just focus on living up to that reputation, by being myself to the community I find joy in.

Scores I'm really proud of!
The map that started it all
I think this map itself is the reason why I like marathon maps. How you play through a wide range of songs and seeing that combo build its way up adds to the adrenaline that it gets you tense, even at the simplest patterns. Like, at this point, you could miss anywhere. You spent 3 minutes getting that 3000 combo; you tell yourself to not mess up now. Words cannot describe the joy I get when I finally get that Full Combo showing up on my screen. I really like this kind of challenge where it doesn't test your raw skill, like how fast you can handstream, or how accurate you can release a lot of LN tails, what it really want from you is your endurance of how long can you really play the simplest charts. It's like curling a 5kg weight for 30 minutes straight, walking on a flat path for 2 hours, or a 10-minute breaststroke. I would like to argue that this is an entirely different skill set that most mania players ignore. Imagine being able to play for an hour straight on a chart that is well within your comfort zone. That's really impressive itself, no?
Touhou EX Boss Rush
18 minutes, 15513 combo

Houkago Stride FC
I am weirdly proud of this score

bluefieldcreator
the fact that this map is 17 minutes is the sole reason why i even tried. This map is so good looking but playing it makes you want to combust in agony and scream in pain

Touhou Last Boss Rush
even though its not an FC im still happy with it since i sightread it
